Community Based COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic in East-Central Ogden Set for August
The Weber-Morgan Health Department is working with Weber State University’s Community Education Center and the Utah National Guard to provide a COVID-19 vaccination clinic in east-central Ogden during the Month of August.
Starting Wednesday (Aug. 4), the vaccination clinics will be held each Monday and Wednesday from 1-8 p.m. at the WSU Community Education Center, located at 2605 Monroe Blvd.
The clinics will feature the Pfizer vaccine, which is available for use by all individuals over age 12. The vaccine is free and no identification or health insurance is required to receive a shot. Participants should plan to get a second dose three weeks after their first dose in order to be considered fully vaccinated.
“We appreciate the opportunity to serve in this neighborhood, says WMHD Executive Director Brian Cowan. “We hope that many residents as well as Weber State students will take advantage of the extended community clinic and the resources that the Community Education Center has to offer.”
For more information on the Pfizer vaccine, please speak with your healthcare provider, or contact the Weber-Morgan Health Department and ask to speak to a nurse, 801-399-7250.
The Weber-Morgan Health Department also holds clinics each weekday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in its downtown Ogden building at 477 23rd Street, and by-appointment-only at the Morgan City Hall, 90 W. Young Street. Morgan residents can come to either location. Please call 801-399-7250 and specify your need to make an appointment in Morgan.
