OGDEN, UT – Summer is just around the corner, and to help keep public swimming pools open and operating safely, the Weber-Morgan Health Department is offering it’s annual Certified Pool Operator classes in April.
All public swimming pools in Weber and Morgan counties must employ a Certified Pool Operator (CPO). Certification is valid for five (5) years from the date of issue.
For your convenience, the Weber-Morgan Health Department is holding classes at its downtown Ogden Main Building, 477 23rd Street, to help certify operators in our area. Please download and return the application and payment to the health department by March 29. Class size is limited to 25 members. Participants will need to attend all three days and bring a pencil and calculator.
- A three-day CPO class is scheduled for April, 16, 17 and 18. Classes are held 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a test on the conclusion.
- An online “Fusion” course recommended for recertification is scheduled for April 24th. It is an online, classroom based course. Pre-registration is required three weeks in advance of the class.
Cost for each course is $250 and includes book and the national certification exam. For questions, please call Sherrie Waters or Nanette Rogers at 801-399-7160.
